A wake up call!!!

So I'm doing the usual going over the end of day commentaries of various sports post and I stumble on  an article that mentions that some MLS teams are done for the season!!! Really we are only a few weeks in!!! In my opinion I believe we are not even at the tip of the iceberg. These teams that don't have as many points are the ones that are working the hardest to be at the top. Why?  You ask? they are the ones giving it all in the field. No one likes to be the loser. So yes maybe past years analytics tend to be right but lets live this season to the fullest!!

On another note today is Viernes de Futbol!!!
Todays match is  FC Dallas Vs. New York Red Bulls
Kick off is at 6:00 pm CT you can watch on UniMas which by the way they have SAP so no excuses, and it will also be on MLS Live.

Saturday the Houston Dynamo will be the first among Houston's  men's professional sports franchise to offer a regular season game online. watch the game against  Real Salt Lake  at houstondynamo.com/live coverage starts at 8:00pm CT

Lets support our teams!!!

Taco Tuesday? Order#4

How about a Texan yup he is from Nacogdoches, Tx!!! Clint Dempsey #2 for the Seattle Sounders is the Designated Player for the team. "The Captain" for the USMNT. Dempsey is the first American player to score in three World Cup Championships. He had a very successfull run in Europe playing for Fullham and Tottenham. He is a player with perseverance, determination and flare. He is a Midfielder that leads with example. Great to have him back in the MLS.

Taco Tuesday? Order#3

For this taco de ojo lets get familiar with our local midfielder #8 Cristian "Chaco" Maidana. He was acquired from the Philadelphia Union back on Dec. of 2015. The times that I have encountered him he is more than willing to take a pic or give an autograph.

He is from Resistencia, Argentina. Chaco is one of two players traded in for allocation and the #6 selection in the 2016 MLS Superdraft. Great player (in my opinion) even though he has not come back with the same power and assistance he had prior the FC Dallas game on March 12th in which he had to leave at the 44th minute due to a head injury.  Let's keep cheering him on!!! I'm expecting a great season for him!!! Vamos Chaco!!!!!

My Temple

So yes as many Mexican Americans I grew up in a Catholic home. Don't get me wrong I still believe in the higher power. But when asked Do you go to Church? I have the urge to respond yes I go to BBVA Compass (not sponsored lol) Home of the Houston Dynamo. As the new season gets momentum my heart is happy and exited!! If you look up the definition of Church or Temple you will see it is a place of worship. It is a place of where you feel at ease. That beautiful stadium is my Temple. When the referee  blows that initial whistle everything seems different it first becomes silent and I'm able to appreciate the surroundings in slow motion before everything explodes with euphoria of the magic of the beautiful game!!
